The Story Of Death Note Explained

A Shinigami named Ryuk drops his Death Note in the human world for Light to find. And once Light finds it he decides that he will use it to rid the world of criminals and create a utopia where there are no criminals left.
He finds out through the notebook that every individual who has ownership of the notebook also possess a lifespan. Which can be found next to their name whenever they are written in it.
As Light uses the Death Note he finds out a way to suppress his name and lifespan thus making it seem as though he is immortal. But as he tries to rid the world of criminals through any means necessary! A mysterious killer begins to kill off criminals by mimicking the method used in the Note.
The series was adapted into a live-action film in 2006. The film was directed by Shusuke Kaneko and written by Tsugio Kujiraoka. Based on the original manga series by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata. The film stars Tatsuya Fujiwara as Light and Masataka Kubota as Light’s father Soichiro Yagami. Kana Hashimoto plays the female lead Mia, while Misa Shimizu plays the second female lead L.
